Bossk released their debut EP, .1, in 2006 on the QnotQ label, followed by extensive touring with Cult of Luna, The Ocean, Yndi Halda, and Baroness. Their second EP, .2, came out in October 2007 on Eyesofsound, with further UK and European tours alongside Devil Sold His Soul, Ephel Duath, and Humanfly.

In early 2008, original members Nick Corney and Rob Vaughan left after a UK tour with Kruger. Replacements were found, and the band toured with Textures in the Netherlands. In May 2008, Bossk played their 200th show and first headline show at Islington Academy in London. The band broke up in October 2008, releasing the .3 video EP and a trilogy box-set of all EPs. A split with Rinoa followed in August 2009, featuring a soundboard recording of a new song intended for an unfinished album — recorded before the breakup.

Bossk reformed in 2012, recording a BBC Maida Vale session and playing two shows. In 2013 they released the single 'Pick Up Artist' on Deathwish Inc. Their debut album, Audio Noir, came out in 2016 on Deathwish. In 2021 they released Migration and performed their first headline tour since 2007, supporting the album alongside Dvne, with festival appearances at ArcTanGent in 2022 and Damnation Festival's 'Night of Salvation' pre-show and Bloodstock Festival in 2023.

The touring circuit continued into 2022 with an appearance at the ArcTanGent festival, a well-known showcase for progressive and heavier music.
